COVID-19 - Changes to Royal Mail parcel deliveries

Due to resourcing issues associated with self-isolation and safety measures, deliveries in some areas may be disrupted. Click here to see a list of areas impacted.

Royal Mail will aim to deliver at least every other day in these areas. However, this may not always be possible in offices temporarily affected by very high levels of absence.

Royal Mail is working hard to deliver as comprehensive a service as possible with the resource available. We're sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

Royal Mail has made some changes to their operational policies and practices for parcels that cannot be posted through a letterbox following public health advice resulting from the coronavirus outbreak.

These changes will affect all Tech orders sent on a Royal Mail 24, 48 and Special Delivery services.

Royal Mail's postal workers are still practising social distancing measures. Instead of physically handing over parcels, postal workers will place parcels on customers' doorsteps to retrieve them safely and then successfully record the delivery attempt from their personal PDA scanners. Therefore customers will no longer be required to sign for parcels.

We will continue to work closely with Royal Mail and our other delivery partners to ensure our employees' safety, health and well-being, members of the public, and the communities within which we operate.
