Why am I seeing two payments for a single order?

We understand that seeing two payments for the same order can be worrying, but in most cases it doesn't mean you've been charged twice.

This usually happens when a payment is still being processed and one of the transactions is showing as pending.

A pending transaction is a temporary authorisation from your bank or payment provider while the payment is being processed. During this time, you may see both a pending transaction and a completed transaction relating to the same order.

Once the payment has finished processing, the pending transaction should disappear and only the completed payment will remain. This normally takes a few days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

PayPal customers

This is most commonly reported by customers using PayPal. If you paid with PayPal and can see a pending transaction, you can find more information on the PayPal website:

I'm still seeing two charges

If you're still seeing two completed payments for the same order after a few days, please contact us and we'll be happy to investigate.
