I've got a message on my phone about replacement parts. What does this mean?

You may see a notification on your iPhone informing you that a part has been replaced, or that Apple is unable to verify a component installed in the device.

This can happen on professionally refurbished devices and doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem with your phone.

Why am I seeing this message?

As part of our refurbishment process, some components may be replaced to ensure the device meets our quality standards before it's sold.

These parts are thoroughly tested during our refurbishment process, and every device undergoes extensive diagnostic testing to confirm it's fully functional before being listed for sale.

Does this affect how my phone works?

No. These notifications don't indicate a fault with the device.

In many cases, the message simply means Apple is unable to verify a component, which is common on refurbished devices. Your phone should continue to function normally.

You may see a notification during setup, or you may find information about replacement parts in your device settings. Both scenarios are normal on some refurbished devices.

Can I remove the notification?

If the notification appears during setup, follow the on-screen instructions to continue. In most cases, the notification will clear once the setup process has been completed.
